The term health and wellness are frequently used interchangeably and also work hand in hand with each other, but the meaning of this two are different from each other.
Health is the level of metabollic efficiency of a living person i.e it is the physical state our body is, either it is good or bad. Our state of health depends on factors such as inheritance, environmental conditions, the choice of food and drinks, fitness and exercise, sleep and rest, thoughts and our emotional state.
Wellness, however, is defined as the overall processes to maintain a general state of good health. it involves the conscious decision of the person to experience wellness while health simply means the condition of the person.
Importance of health and wellness
Programs for weight loss, exercise programs, fitness facilities, spas, nutritional supplements and diets of all kinds are now common and important in our everyday life because they all reflect the importance of wellness and overall health.
Some of these changes are due to the extreme demands and long waits for treatment in the healthcare system, but also by the desire of the working generation for an active lifestyle after retirement, with the hope of being fit and good enough to participate in their chosen Activities.
For these goals to manifest in reality, the foundation of good health must be built throughout life, not just to try to repair the damage after it has been done.
So it has become clear why the healthcare industry has gone in its current direction. Only when health and wellness are priorities, can everyone make the most of their future.
